How To Teach Reading and Spelling
The ability to read and spell accurately and fluently effects a students’ academics from kindergarten
through college and beyond. How to Teach Reading and Spelling provides teachers with the tools to
teach letters and their sounds, reading and spelling one and multi- syllable words thoughtfully and
actively. Participants will learn to recognize when a student is not learning to read and spell efficiently,
why that is happening and how to correct student mistakes. We will apply these concepts and strategies
to lesson planning and classroom activities for the whole class, small groups and individual students. This
