Word and Sentence-Level Strategies that Support Narrative and Expository Writing

This Interactive conference will cover:

  • Hands-on self-regulation strategies that tap semantic feature analysis to expand disciplinary vocabulary and sentence skills.
  • Features of executive functioning will be described as it relates to the role of automaticity and strategy learning for dealing with working memory deficits in students with language learning difficulties. 
  • Writing strategies will be discussed that help children with language learning difficulties overcome processing deficits that form obstacles to their language storage, retrieval and formulation for writing.
