Dr. Carrie Thomas-Beck, ODE’s Dyslexia Specialist, has gone through important information that administrators, teachers, parents, and stakeholders need to know about Oregon’s new dyslexia legislation. Special thanks to Decoding Dyslexia Oregon for their impactful advocacy and grassroots efforts to obtain recognition for the needs of dyslexics in our state, for creating momentum and for organizing stakeholders that pushed for the legislation to ultimately come to pass. Thank you, Carrie Thomas-Beck for collaborating on this important project. Additional thanks to Rachel Hansen and Jessi Sigander of NW Dyslexia Connection for directing and producing this video. Also, IDA Oregon could not have done this without the generous support of our donors and local members.
