Coming to Portland! A self-advocacy workshop for students (grades 5-12) and their family members to think about the tools and supports they need for success.
Students will follow the steps in the Advocating For My Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) guide to build a profile of how they learn best.
- Practice/learn steps to advocate for what you need in your educational programs
- Explore technologies that support & empower learning with Google & Apple
- Full Day agenda with concurrent Student & Parent Breakouts
- Students will leave with a greater sense of self-awareness and empowered by new knowledge/skills to become active participants in their future.
